currently only accepting small Furniture for Painting only

It is amazing how a coat of paint can dramatically change the look of a piece of furniture, breathing new life, transforming old to new.  Or perhaps you have a piece of furniture that holds some sentimental value that just isn’t fitting with your decor anymore. Having it custom painted is an excellent option. We can sit and discuss the look you want and together we can come up with the right colors and finishes to make your vision come to life.

Our kitchen has undergone an amazing transformation, with cabinetry that was a previous ho-hum oak to a brilliant and fresh white that brings life into the room. Meg worked with us every step of the way, clearly communicating what would happen and when, cost estimates, and options/suggestions for colors, hardware, and finishes. We are so happy with the results. Highly, highly recommend Meg!

Meet Meg Shelton

Owner + Artist of Doover Refinishing

Meg’s interest in art and design began in high school and she then went on to continue her studies as an Art Major at Trenton State College (now known as TCNJ). Learning many different mediums over the years painting always stayed her favorite. Painting furniture began as a hobby, picking up discarded pieces here and there and giving them new life. Family and friends asked to have pieces done for them and that is how the business began. Furniture painting and refinishing was the majority of the work at the beginning and then a friend asked if she could paint her kitchen cabinets.

Further study on her own about techniques and products gave Meg the knowledge she needed and she took on her first customers kitchen. It came out wonderful and the client was thrilled! From there word spread and estimates starting coming in and she was hooked. She continues to learn new things everyday from a wonderful group she joined that is full of talented professionals in the field of cabinet painting.

Still painting furniture, Meg enjoys the kitchen painting just as much if not more. And so, DO OVER Refinishing, LLC continues to grow!

Meg transformed my kitchen into a bright modern country kitchen. She took my old natural oak cabinets and gave them new life painted a bright white. Next she took my boring kitchen table, chairs and hutch and made them look fantastic. Cadet Gray, white and dark stain to match the hardwood floors magically came together to create something very special. Working with Meg was a pleasure, she is warm and professional and very talented. I highly recommend her work.
